The "Flat Outrageous" section is the first major update to the Tijuana Flats menu in the last five years. "With this new 'Flat Outrageous' section, we are excited to evolve our food, while still maintaining the classic Tijuana Flats menu items that our guests know and love."
"Pushing the boundaries of creativity without compromising quality is always our company's priority," Larry Ryback, CEO of Tijuana Flats, said in a statement. The Bangin' Chicken Tostadas feature crispy corn tortillas with refried beans, cheddar-jack cheese, grilled onions and peppers, tomatoes and ranch dressing. The Philly Cheesesteak Flautas are shaved sirloin steak topped with mozzarella cheese, grilled onions and peppers, served with queso. The Crispy Baja Fish tacos feature fried fish topped with chipotle crema, shaved cilantro cabbage and pineapple salsa, Lime Steak tacos are grilled garlic-lime steak covered with avocado crema, shaved cilantro cabbage, pico de gallo and cotija cheese, and the Jerk Chicken tacos are crispy jerk chicken topped with MoreFire! hot sauce, shaved cilantro cabbage, pineapple salsa and cotija cheese.
The new menu items include three street tacos - Crispy Baja Fish, Lime Steak, and Jerk Chicken - as well as Philly Cheesesteak Flautas and the Bangin' Chicken Tostadas, which are a variation on buffalo chicken and are an existing dish on the Tijuana Flats menu. Tijuana Flats, the fast-casual Tex-Mex restaurant with nearly 10 locations in Jacksonville, announced the addition of a "Flat Outrageous" section to its menu.
